As a Licensed Master Social Worker, Camryn advocates for policy changes that lead to a more equitable and just society, particularly concerning gender equality and human rights. At Vote Mama, she supports the Programs team, working directly with our Research team on Vote Mama Foundation’s Politics of Parenthood report series and the ongoing Campaign Funds for Childcare data collection. In addition, Camryn helps to break down the structural and cultural barriers that keep mamas out of office and out of power through her legislative advocacy and support of the Policy team. Lastly, she supports the candidate endorsement process, working closely with Vote Mama’s Political Director to support Democratic mamas running up and down the ballot across the country. Camryn received a BSW degree from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa and an MSW degree from Columbia University with a specialization in Policy Practice.
